We will be getting our budget money totals very soon! What are your visions for this year? What do you think is a need for the building? What would enhance student learning?
One thing that I will suggest, and it may not matter for you, is trying to get as many teachers as possible with laptops. I know quite a few of yours do already, but one of my big pushes is to limit the number of curriculum guides my roomates have to make, which requires teachers have access to the Portal during meetings. Just something to think about.
Two options for cutting down on copies is to 1) use the Ricoh to scan documents and email to yourself, which would work great with the computer projector or 2) purchsing an ELMO opaque projector, which isn't as versatile as the computer projector, but might be a little cheaper. Having said that, there are many more uses for a computer projector than there are for opaque projectors.
Sixth grade all have projectors and we are LOVING it! We use them all the time. We can't wait for next year when we will have all of our powerpoints created and we will be in the "tweaking" stage. Something that would be neat to have is a smartboard. The technology is very cool.

We have our $$ - about $19,000. We will need to talk about the plan for spending.

I know one thing that some teachers are interested in is having a projector in classroom. Possible eliminating overheads and cutting down on copies.
